We enjoy immense expertise and significant experience across all areas of sports law. One of our members (Shivam Singh) has read Sports Law at Harvard Law School, published widely on the subject and has also keenly involved himself with teaching appointments at law/business schools in both India as well as abroad.

Our practice spreads across sports arbitration, anti-doping matters, integrity offences, broadcasting, disciplinary hearings, regulatory issues and athlete representation. We have also represented individuals/companies in matters involving crucial questions before the Constitution Bench (five-judge) of the Supreme Court. We derive our strength and expertise in our intellectual property rights practice from our chamber members some of whom have had prior experience in boutique IPR firms and hold specialized educational qualifications in intellectual property laws.

We represent private developers, mining companies, electricity generation companies, high net-worth individuals, private companies, state government bodies and regulators in their disputes across multiple forums of adjudication.

Our chamber members have secured relief in large stake title and possession disputes for developers, companies and high-net worth individuals. We have also secured effective results in mining clearance and licensing disputes. Our experience in this sector has allowed us to represent electricity generating regulators and private companies as well.

We regularly appear before the adjudicating authority (NCLT), the appellate authority (NCLAT) and the Supreme Court, for matters pertaining to insolvency, bankruptcy and restructuring laws. Our team has successfully represented large private limited companies, MSMEs, resolution professionals and individuals before these forums. Our members are equipped to advise on all stages of the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP).

Chamber 20A has advised clients on a variety of privacy and confidentiality issues. We have appeared for multiple parties before the Supreme Court in its leading judgement on the Right to Privacy. The Head of Chambers is currently presiding over a technology arbitration dealing with issues related to breach of data confidentiality and intermediary liability.

Other members have represented multiple parties in disputes relating to domain name hosting rights and online hate speech. The chamber set is also advising several clients on regulatory obligations that may arise upon the proposed enactment of Personal Data Protection Bill.
